What to include, by kind of message
Something went wrong with a tool
Tell us the tool, your browser and its version, and what the document was like — roughly how many pages, how large, whether it was a scan, whether it was password-protected. Please don't attach the file itself: our tools never receive your documents and we would rather it stayed that way. If you are comfortable doing so, open your browser's developer console and paste in any red error text you see.
A format or feature you need
Describe the job end to end rather than naming a format. A few conversions are missing on purpose, because they cannot be done to an acceptable standard inside a browser — and knowing the actual task often turns up a route through the tools that already exists.
A question about privacy
Ask plainly and you'll get a plain answer. If you would rather verify than take our word for it, open your browser's network panel and run any tool on this site: no request carrying your file will appear, because none is made.
A wrong translation or a broken link
Genuinely useful to hear about. The site is published in more than forty languages and we cannot proofread all of them, so a sentence that reads badly in yours is something only you are going to catch.
The one thing we cannot help with
We cannot recover a file, undo a conversion, or retrieve a forgotten password. Not as a policy — there is simply nothing on our side to retrieve. Every tool runs inside your browser and no copy of your document is ever sent to us, which is the same design decision that means we cannot lose or leak it either. If a file has gone missing, it is still somewhere on your own device.
